It was year two of the pandemic when I was walking around Knoxville's World's Fair Park and stumbled upon a little library. It was bright red with white trim, resembling a small barn. Inside, it housed a stack of well-loved books. Amid a period of uncertainty, I was inspired! I had tried my hand at small woodworking projects before but this was going to be the biggest yet. After 10+ trips to Lowe's, measuring twice and cutting once (but somehow getting it wrong), sanding, sanding, sanding and literally waiting for paint to dry, I debuted Razak's Little Library at my local community garden!
This was built as a tribute library to my dad who was an avid reader of math, computer science and detective mystery books. It's registered with Little Free Library as library #157260.
